Meet the Founder and her Mission:

Allied Counseling Collective was founded on a deeply held belief: that true healing doesn't happen in isolation. It was built with a powerful vision — to create a space where individuals, families, and the broader community feel supported, connected, and understood, especially during life's most difficult moments. Central to this vision is a commitment to serving and uplifting AAPI, and People of the Global Majority (PGM) communities, who have historically been underserved and underrepresented in mental health care.

Our founder, Jaemmavheb Javanes-Pisani, MA, LPC, understands that healing is rarely a solitary journey — and that for many in the AAPI communities, that journey carries the added weight of navigating systemic barriers, cultural stigma, racial trauma, and the pain of feeling unseen within traditional mental health spaces. At Allied Counseling Collective, that changes. Here, your culture is not a footnote — it is central to your care.

While individual counseling sessions provide a vital foundation, it is through meaningful relationships, shared understanding, and the strength of community that lasting transformation truly takes root. This philosophy isn't just an idea — it is the heartbeat of everything the Collective does. Jaemma/Ate Jing believes that healing within AAPI communities is deeply tied to reclaiming identity, honoring cultural wisdom, and building spaces where people feel safe enough to be fully themselves.

Allied Counseling Collective was created to bridge the space between personal mental health support and community-based care, because no one — regardless of their background, culture, or lived experience — should have to navigate grief, trauma, major life transitions, or emotional hardship alone. Every service, every session, and every collaboration is rooted in the conviction that when people feel genuinely connected — to a counselor who sees them, to others who share their experience, and to a community that affirms their identity — healing becomes possible in ways it simply cannot be on one's own.

At the heart of this work is a deep commitment to belonging. Through culturally responsive, compassionate, client-centered counseling, education, and community collaboration, the Collective actively works to bring people together — not just to heal individually, but to grow stronger as a community. This means creating spaces where AAPI individuals and families are not just welcomed, but truly centered.

This is the vision that continues to guide Allied Counseling Collective today: honoring each person's unique story and cultural identity, while nurturing the connections that remind us — especially those of us who have too often been made to feel otherwise — that we are never truly alone.

Family counseling supports families in improving communication, addressing conflict, and strengthening relationships. Sessions may focus on parenting challenges, blended families, behavioral concerns, or major life changes affecting the family system.

Specialized & Evidence-Based Approaches

Our counselors are trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, which may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based strategies, and strengths-based counseling. Treatment plans are personalized to align with each client’s needs and preferences.

The Collective:

Our collective is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: community care feels strongest when it looks, sounds, and lives like home.

Allied Counseling Collective brings a diverse team of providers, creators, and advocates, primarily representing PGM (People of the Global Majority) communities, who have come together to build something intentionally inclusive and deeply grounded in shared lived experience. Across disciplines and backgrounds, we are united by a commitment to equity, cultural humility, and the belief that care should be accessible, affirming, and community-centered.

This collective is open to the public and designed as a welcoming space where providers across New Jersey can connect, collaborate, and grow together. Whether you’re a clinician, healer, educator, community worker, artist, designer, our goal is to create opportunities for meaningful relationship-building, resource-sharing, and mutual support.

We recognize that many communities have historically been underserved, underrepresented, or made to feel like outsiders in professional spaces. This collective exists to change that. Here, we prioritize authenticity, cultural understanding, and the richness that comes from diverse identities and perspectives. We are building a network where providers don’t have to code-switch to belong—where they can show up fully as themselves and feel seen, valued, and supported.

At its core, this initiative is about creating a sense of home: a space where community members and providers alike can find connection, trust, and collective strength. By bringing together those who reflect the communities they serve, we aim to foster more responsive, compassionate, and culturally grounded care across New Jersey.

Together, we are not just building a network—we are cultivating a movement rooted in belonging, representation, and shared purpose.
